Mother's Day

It's not every mother who gets pampered on Mother's Day by her son-in-law and husband! Matt cooked the whole meal and Bill cleaned up all of the dishes! We had roast pork, peas, lightly steamed cauliflower with cheese sauce, green salad, and Matt's heavenly 1 hour rolls.

















This beautiful little fuchsia is from Anne and Matt, and Kristin painted the little fairy picture.

These are Matt's heavenly rolls. This is a little embarrassing, but 5 of us polished off almost THREE batches of them! Kristin and Paul came to visit and had dinner with us as well.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

A great way to spend a beautiful spring day is to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm near Woodburn, Oregon.




It is not uncommon to see parents taking pictures of their children among the tulips.

A field full of sherbet ice cream!

What do you think of this cow train? The kids sure loved it. The tractor driver drove into a grassy field next and made zig zags and circles, causing the children to squeal with glee.

The parrot tulips were my favorites. These are called "Apricot Parrots."


































































































A honey bee was buzzing around inside of this tulip as if it were trapped.





















There were many activities for children. This swing is made from one tire turned inside out and cut into shapes like a horse.









These children were enjoying the ducky races using old-fashioned water pumps.



I couldn't resist this little cutie.














These were the greatest swings I'd ever seen!



Each child was strapped into a harness and had their very own trampoline!

There were several booths with vendors which I enjoyed, and the gift shops were very enticing.

I sure enjoyed my day!

Taking Kate back to BYU-Idaho

We were SO packed as we drove Katie back to Idaho for college. This is the way Kate rode for about 13 hours!









It was hard to say "good-bye" but we knew Kate was going to have a good experience and a lot of fun.

This was one of the gorgeous views as we drove through the canyon from Rexburg, Idaho to northern Utah.
