Beautiful Sight

Let me see...how many times have we done this? Mom, Megan and I stopped to view the elk herd in the fields by the Tillamook Blimp Base.

Jesse Enjoys Time at Grandma and Papa's

Our deck makes a great place to drive a "car"...

Great Grandma Griffin takes a turn at keeping track of Jesse.

His mom taught him how to drive his car down the hillside!

Mom, Megan and I had a nice drive going back to Bay City. We stopped at Cape Kiwanda so Jesse could put his feet in the sand!

Birdwatching in My Back Yard

I've never noticed a flycatcher coming to my bird feeder before. It's a perky little bird.

This young hummer is barely showing its colors.

It's always a joy to see honeybees, and my Japanese Anemones are making a bright spot in my garden right now.

Swan Island Dahlias

Another satisfying trip to one of Oregon's beautiful flower farms...

Megan, Jesse and I walked the Dahlia fields at Swan Island near Canby. It was very hot, but we walked through the sprinklers a few times to get cooled off.

Pictures cannot do justice to these beautiful colors and designs! We took 3 times more pictures than I am posting! Megan and I took turns using the camera, and some of my favorites are the ones she took.

These were as big as dinner plates!

Megan took the picture above, this one, and the one below. They are stunning, and would make a beautiful wall cluster!

Can you believe these colors?!

This was unusual.

This was one of my favorite colors.

This was probably my favorite dahlia. I loved the pastel pinkish-coral with strokes of lavender. It looked like it was brushed on!

Afterward, Jesse deserved time at a little shaded park in Canby.

Aren't Moms great?!
