Camping at Seal Rock

Bill and I recently took a nice little vacation on the Oregon Coast at Seal Rock. We camped with Jim and Glenys. Later Anne joined us, and Pat came over one evening along with Lorna and Bob. Kristin drove over the last day and joined us on the beach.

You can't camp without a camp fire, but it is a good idea to know how to build one first!

Glenys brought some vegetarian hot dogs for Jim, but they wouldn't stay on a roasting stick. They kept dropping in the fire, so Glenys decided to "plank" roast them!

She actually thought someone would eat them! LOL

It was nice to visit with Bob and Lorna!

Anne brought her mandolin which she talked Jim into playing.

On the beach...

Anne and Glenys found this mutilated octopus which they decided to dissect!

Low tide...

Anemones...

The tide pools were great!

One bright little shell among the rest...

Climbing between rocks and clusters of goose-neck barnacles...

Glenys finds a big piece of seaweed...
