Back to Bandon With Two of Our Grandchildren!

We had such a good time with two of our grandchildren camping in Bandon, Oregon! On the way to the campground we stopped at the Umpqua River Lighthouse. It has such beautiful glass panes!

Jesse and Charlotte enjoyed their time at the Seven Devils Wayside just north of our campground.
They found a variety of rocks and shells while enjoying the beach.

 Crab shell

 King Neptune!
 Cracking the whip!

Charlotte likes to climb on rocks.

 Navigating the large driftwood stumps

 Interesting tide pools

 Goose Neck Barnacles
 A live crab!
Guess who wasn't afraid to hold it?

Some of the rocks and shells Jesse and Charlotte found
We took the kids to a very fun museum in Old Town Bandon
Everything in the museum is made from beach trash! It is collected, cleaned, painted and used to make sculptures.

It is amazing what people make with it!

 Sea turtle
 Squid
 Fish, coral reef
 Star fish
Jesse, "playing" the bottles on top of the starfish

Such interesting masks made from the beach trash. Do you recognize what they are made of?

 Amazing fish

 Jelly Fish
 "Inside" a tide pool

Vacation is not complete without ice cream!

"Some mores" made with lemon curd, white chocolate and roasted marshmallow (to die for!)
Playing games together.     Sleeping angels...I think we wore them out :-D
