Spring has finally sprung! I know I'm not the only one enjoying these awakening beauties!

Family Treasures

My sister Candy has been helping Mom rediscover some treasures in her attic. This was an embroidery piece that Mom did about 60 years ago when she and Dad were living in a tent. There were a few leaves that needed to be finished, so Mom recently completed it and I sewed it into a wall-hanging for her. I needed to share this beautiful piece with everyone...I just wish you could see the beautiful details up close!

Kate

I thought I would post some pictures of Kate. She is the youngest of our six children and we can't believe how grown up she is! She has been home from college at BYU-Idaho and will be returning in April. She graduates in July with an Associate Degree and then plans on serving a mission for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). She has wanted to do this ever since she was very young, and it will soon be a reality. She has been preparing her papers for the last couple of months, and they will be sent to Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City in May. Soon after that she will receive a letter telling her where she will be serving for a year and a half. It is a special opportunity for growth and we are excited to see her dream come true :-).

Kate has a goofy side to her. She said, "See if you can catch this Mom!"
