"Church in the Vale"

I recently drove to my Mom's house and when I arrived this is what I saw!

This is the Bay City Methodist Church which I attended with my brothers and my sister while growing up. It was bathed in the most beautiful evening light and the rainbow was the crowning touch :-).

Although I am now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have many wonderful memories of this little church community!

The Long Journey Home

Brigham City Temple (taken shortly after we left our son's home)

We had a lovely trip home. We stopped at Shoshone Falls by Twin Falls, Idaho. We had stopped there one time before and decided it was worth a return trip.

Just before taking this picture, a crazy man had me take a picture of him while he walked out onto this "bridge" of ground:

A nearby stream...

It would be very unusual NOT to see antelope on the way home!

I saw this old abandoned barn and decided to have some fun with it. I was startled when a big white barn owl came flying out the front!

Can you spot the owl flying into a nearby tree? It entered a huge nest and was lost to my view. However, I discovered a couple of owl pellets at the bottom of the tree! Hmmmm...I wonder what this owl had for breakfast or dinner?
Inside of the barn...

An old garage...

Several China Pheasants were in a nearby field. When we stopped so I could take their pictures, they ran like crazy across the field!
An old wagon in Juntura, Oregon...

A curlew along side the road...

White-faced ibis. These birds have the most gorgeous feathers in burgundy and aqua! Click on the picture to see it close up!

Family

Julie

During our visit to Will and Julie's we played a fun game with headbands. It was wonderful for all ages to interact. We enjoyed being with our family so much. There is nothing in the world as important as family!

Bear River Wildlife Refuge

I've always wanted to go this this particular refuge and I had 3 grandchildren who wanted to go with me! How lucky could I get?! We drove a long loop on a dike road through waterways and marshes.

A Lovely Break!

Julie and Bill

This last week we took Kate back to Brigham Young University--Idaho. It was sad to see her go, but it is exciting for her to have new opportunities.

After getting Kate settled into her apartment, we drove to Utah to visit Will and Julie's family. We watched our oldest grandson Billy play in a soccer game. He played the position of goalie part of the time.

Will coaches the team, and here he is helping an injured player off of the field.

The other children played on the nearby equipment during the game.
