Camp Sherman

Bill and I made a trip to Camp Sherman where we ended up buying a 5th wheel trailer. It wasn't exactly in our plans, but when we saw it we fell in love with it! While we were there, we took the trail to the headwaters of the Metolius River. It is an amazing place to visit!
We had curious visitors along the trail. This is a golden mantel squirrel.

This is a chipmunk. They are very tiny!
A view of Mt. Jefferson from the headwaters of the Metolius.
Not far from here the waters seem to bubble up from the ground.

 Soaking up the sun
I had some peanuts and this little squirrel wanted more!
The pavement must have been warm :-).
I love the bark of the Ponderosa Pine trees.
Up close it looks like a jigsaw puzzle.

 A brown creeper
I am not sure what this bird is.
The Metolius River is one of the fly-fishing hot spots in Oregon!
