Beach Trip, April 15

Kristin and I drove to Lincoln City along with Katie and her boyfriend Ryan. Bill wasn't with us so we drove the Prius on the beach :). We had a great time looking for shells as they were fairly easy to find that day.

We almost had the beach all to ourselves.

It was quite pleasurable finding these little
treasures. To us it was almost like finding
gold!

Kate and Ryan explored tide pools

Kristin found something interesting.

Lots of foam!

Every direction held an inspiring view.

We drove to Siletz Bay where Kristin
enjoyed feeding the gulls.

Kate and Ryan attracted a "ferocious" visitor who ate the
bread they tossed for the gulls.

My fire...pretty good start, huh? Of course it helped to bring
dry wood from home!

Smoke in our eyes

Our "some mores" tasted good with chocolate covered
graham crackers.

Toasted "innards"...the
best part!

More smoke in our eyes...

Ryan carefully crafted a little sand castle, and Katie prepared to destroy it.

She did it with a wicked sense of pleasure.

Kristin checked out the seal population. They can almost always be seen at the mouth of the bay taking their afternoon nap. Can you find them in the next picture?

They looked pretty lazy.

This is just before we headed home. Kristin is next to an attractive fish sculpture.

Oh my!
