Horse Sense

My sister Candy and I recently visited her son Patrick and his family in Washington. We had a fun time with Pat, Tonya, Stephen, and Elyse! We also had the opportunity to visit the beautiful ranch where Pat trains horses.

Soon Pat and his family will be moving into this farm house located on the property. It was built in the late 1800's, but it is in great condition. It is a wonderful home!

The upstairs is full of light with large windows on almost every side. It also has built in book shelves and window seats for reading and relaxing. One can view a good portion of the property from this room!
Pat is showed his mom and I around the property. There was an adorable kitty that I could not quit holding and petting!
There is a lovely crab apple tree near the home.
The horses are beautiful and very well cared for.
Pat has the job of training these beautiful animals! I found it fascinating to watch him work.

Paula, the owner of the ranch loves her horse :-).

A very clean and pretty horse and one that just came in from rolling in the mud :-).
 Ooooooooh, keep scratching those ears!
Pat works with several different horses each day. He is very good at what he does!

Candy and I had a visitor while we were getting warm in the office :-).
Jennifer, the other trainer, is getting a horse ready to ride.
Pat is giving tips to this horse's owner.
At the end of the day Pat took Candy and I on a hay ride back into the woods so we could see the trails he developed.
We went past several horse paddocks.
