Trip to Enterprise, Oregon

Bill and I traveled six hours this last weekend to Enterprise, Oregon where he and my brother Chris hunted together. Bill lost his nice GPS during that trip, and we returned with 2 metal detectors to see if we could find it. We stayed in a very comfortable hotel that reminded us of our home...log bed and furniture :-). This beautiful old building was across the street from where we stayed.

We headed up a little canyon the next morning and the view around Enterprise was amazing! There was beautiful morning light, the mountains had only a sprinkling of snow, and there were mule deer in this pasture.

We passed a buffalo farm on the way.
The woods around Bill and Chris' camp had these striking Tamarack trees mixed in with the evergreens.

Of course I can never resist an old barn :-).

We didn't find the GPS, but we had fun trying. While leaving Enterprise to head back home, we saw this herd of Mule Deer.

This magnificent buck was in their midst, but he didn't stay around when I got out of the car to take pictures!
The does just looked on. They were more curious than anything.
We certainly enjoyed the trip and our time together.
