Ridgefield WLR in the Winter of 2017

Bill and I made a trip to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge in February because we were tired of the rain and felt cooped up in the house. We were richly rewarded! First we saw this Greater Yellow-legs.
Bald Eagle just above our car in the trees
 Great Blue Heron
 Rough-legged Hawk eating its prey
 Wood Ducks
 Red-shouldered Hawk
 Swans
 Great Blue Heron

 Juvenile Bald Eagle

Leaving Ridgefield we saw this beautiful old barn
An interesting old building with a false front. What stories it could tell!
