As long as the weather holds out we keep making trips to Ankeny. In the early evening light, the water sparkles like diamonds. This is probably one of the same Great Blue Herons we see each time we visit! The herons make a great silhouette as the evening progresses.
This little guy is a nutria for those of you who don't know. They aren't the most attractive or desirable creatures we have in the area. This one just climbed out of the water.
