We arrived at Bryce Canyon toward the evening, but there was still enough light to get some pictures of the canyon. The snow made a stunning contrast. We actually drove through a pretty good blizzard on our way to the canyon!
This is a gray headed junco, a life bird for me!
A herd of young deer
We got up VERY early the next morning so we could drive to "Sunrise Point" in Bryce Canyon. You can see why we braved the wind and the 28 degree weather!
The scene was stunning as the sun slowly creeped across the canyon.
Some of the formations appeared to glow from within!
Many of the formations looked like castle fortresses.
There were many deer as we drove through the canyon.
The wagon above was taken at our bed and breakfast the night before. Everything was covered in snow!
The Bed and Breakfast was called Bullberry Inn. We returned from watching the sunrise, had a wonderful breakfast and then headed for Cedar City, Utah.
Teresa and Larry were our hosts. They were wonderful and we loved their dog Bella! We enjoyed breakfast with a delightful couple from Ireland.
Before leaving the canyon we took a very short hike to "Mossy Cave." There was an interesting rock formation just above the trail.
Icicles inside "Mossy Cave"
Bill decided to hike to the rock formation. Stunning colors!
Our last stop in the canyon was "Fairylands" viewpoint. We were blessed to see these beautiful formations in this famous canyon.
