Day Trip to the Oregon Coast

 We made this trip in Feb of 2016. It was cold and windy but very beautiful as always. This is Cape Kiwanda at Pacific City, Oregon.

 We basically drive down a creek bed in order to drive on the beach!

 It is always a thrill to see a herd of elk!

 We enjoy driving down Three Rocks Road to see where the Salmon River meets the ocean.

Another favorite stop on the way home is Basket Slough. It is a wonderful wildlife area.
