Fossils on Beverly Beach, 6, 08

Time out for lunch at the Chowder Bowl (Nye Beach in Newport).

Beverly Beach, on the Oregon Coast, is a wonderful place to find fossils. Bev lead us on a trek up the beach, and these pictures show some of our finds.

Overall, we had a wonderful time together, enjoyed beautiful weather, and saw many beautiful and interesting things. We also left the coast with a lot of color in our faces and with a desire to return again soon!

Chris and Bill took their time and enjoyed every minute in the sun.

Can't wait to see Chris' movies!

Clam fossils like these could be seen in the bank in several places.

We call these "Monkey Flowers."

This looks like someone did some fancy stonework. However, it was all done by nature.

Several fossils with a nice rusty fishing lure thrown in

Some rocks contained many fossils.

What a beautiful part of the country we live in!

Crossing the stream that runs under the bridge.

We enjoyed watching men work on the new bridge. In this
picture, forms are being removed.
