Swans at Ankeny Hill

The tundra swans are making their stop at Ankeny before migrating south. They are a beautiful sight.


There's a snowy egret in this bunch.

You are blessed to live so close to Ankeny - I love migration time, we see so many feathered friends passing through. Huge wedges of geese right now, along with sandhill cranes. The fields are gradually emptying of both these magnificent huge birds. Love to listen to both of them with their distinctive voices...
